About size and tolerance

As any other manufacturing process, Metal Injection Molding MIM also entails some design requirements. Our experienced engineers support customer’s component design from the planning stage until its mess production.
MIM is particularly suitable for small to medium-sized components. As a rule, the bigger a component is the more deviations can occur regarding the component size. Therefore, Herong has specialized in the production of parts with an average weight between 0.01 and 50 g about 3mm~ 200mm, although the production of larger components is also possible. Herong is currently manufacturing components with a maximum weight of about 120 g.

Ti Grade 2 MIM Unalloyed titanium with low density, high corrosion resistance and excellent biocompatibility. Application examples: Chemical industry, aviation, medical technology.
Ti Grade 4 MIM Unalloyed titanium with increased strength and lower toughness than grade 2 Aerospace, jewelry industry, medical and food technology.
Ti Grade 5 MIM Corrosion resistant titanium alloy with good ratio between high strength and low density. Application examples: aviation, medical technology, jewelry industry, motor sports.
FN50 Metal Powder Sintering Soft magnetic iron-nickel alloy with high permeability and saturation magnetization. Application examples: Solenoid valves, AC&DC relays, transformers, sensors.
FeSi3 Metal Powder Sintered Soft magnetic steel with low demagnetization losses and high electrical resistance. Application examples: automatic control engineering systems.
